ABOUT ORIGAMI

Origami was invented around 100AD, and has always held an honored place at births, weddings, and other events of great importance. In Japan, the crane symbolizes honor, loyalty, and love. Cranes mate for life and are loyal partners. They are graceful, beautiful, and strong. Folding a crane takes patience, time, and understanding; important qualities for a lasting marriage and a rich life. The Japanese believe that anyone who folds 1,000 cranes will be granted his or her greatest wish.
