Challenge

The United States Forces Korea (USFK) has begun moving its main contingent from Yongsan Garrison in central Seoul, to Pyeongtaek, southern Gyeonggi Province, as part of a massive $10.8 billion relocation project, according to the Ministry of National Defense. The ministry’s USFK relocation task force said that some 300 general staff from the Eighth Army, the main USFK unit stationed in Yongsan, will relocate to Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, by February 2017 as the construction of its new headquarters has been completed. Once completed, the base will accommodate approximately 42,000 soldiers and their families.

Solution

TechTrend has assisted the US Army with this effort by providing critical infrastructures. This includes but is not limited to foundational products; such as cabling and servers. Additionally, TechTrend was able to provide services that continuously assist in building and upgrading Camp Humphreys to support this mission.

Results

TechTrend created an intuitive custom Order Management System (OMS) that allowed the client to see details of each product’s stage during shipment. Upon arrival, all pallets were color coordinated to ensure easy identification of each item on the PO by the client, which was coordinated with corresponding colors.
